The HSC is pleased to advise the sponsored visit of a top sonographer next week (20th-26th of August). Wendy Miller is an accredited sonographer from Ascot Radiology in Auckland and the Manager of the Quantum Health Group. She has been scanning for 25 years in New Zealand and Australia.
She specialises in Women’s Health, obstetrics and gynaecology, breasts and small parts.
As an applications specialist for Samsung Medison she has optimised ultrasound equipment and train sonographers and radiologists. She has taught emergency department doctors and family doctors on ultrasound physics and machine functionality.
Wendy lives with her two daughters in Auckland.
While at the HSC, Wendy will:
- Fine tune the 4D ultrasound machine at the HSC to the clinician’s needs
- Teach clinicians how to use the ultrasound machine
- Perform ultrasound scans on patients booked specifically for her visit
- Spend a day at the National Health Service teaching the staff there as part of our service
- Be a resource person at the AIMS conference on the 24-25 August
